Well Plaid - Pumpkin Barn

Is there a better way to embrace Halloween time than to visit a pumpkin barn and bake and make pumpkin-y stuff in the kitchen? I don't think so, that's why I've been going nuts over every pumpkin I see.

The epitome of fall festivities was my visit a few weeks back in Worth, which is practically located at the end of the world. After a very peaceful car ride through the woods and along fields and ponds you enter a barn full of every pumpkin type you can dream of.

The barn is mainly a market and showroom but you can carve pumpkins as well

or try their baked goods like pumpkin bread with homemade apple-pumpkin-jam or                                                  chocolate chip muffins with a cup of coffee.

Due to the wonderful warm weather this year the barn wasn't as cold as usual and you could easily spend two hours looking around and testing their food. At least if you are equally pumpkin-crazy. ;)

We obviously couldn't leave without purchasing pumpkins for decoration, for kitchen           experiments with crazy names like Pink Jumbo Banana, and different spreads like the apple     pumpkin-jam I already mentioned.

In general we were really lucky that the weather was so nice and we catched the golden hour right when we were planning (or had to) leave.
